David Cano is a life long ranger. As a child, his first memories of Rangers is going to camp outs with a small church outpost in an old VW van that miraculously made it to camp and back. Growing up in church, David served as a children’s church and Sunday School teacher, youth leader, musician and Royal Rangers commander. He has served at the local, sector and district level. He was appointed District Director late 2017 and has since worked to grow and develop his team and district.

David is not alone on his journey. He shares many wonderful experiences with his wife, Neidine, and his 2 girls Davi Nadine and Vashti Nicole. They currently live in El Paso, TX where he works within the Federal Court System.

Daniel Martinez
Deputy district Director

Daniel is a member of Templo Betel in Dumas, TX where he has been serving as the Outpost Coordinator for the last three years and North Region Director since late 2018. He has been involved on and off with Royal Rangers since the age of 5, now entirely devoted to the ministry and its goals to mentor the next generation of Christ-like men. Daniel also serves in the worship ministry as a guitar player in his local church.

Outside of the Outpost, Daniel is an award-winning multi-media designer. He works in creating marketing content for the Oil & Gas industry in an eight-state region. Daniel resides in Amarillo, TX with Zoe, his rescue Aussie Shepherd.

Jose Alamillo started with Royal Rangers when he was 16 years old and has been a Royal Ranger Commander for the last 34 years. Jose has served as an Outpost Commander, Sectional Commander, Deputy District Commander for the Gulf Latin American District and currently serves as an Outreach Coordinator for the West Texas and Plains District. Jose currently attends Templo La Trinidad where he has served as a Sunday School Teacher for over 20 years, working primarily with High School students.

Jose obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at El Paso and has worked for the Texas Youth Commission, Child Protective Services, Private Foster Care and currently as a Juvenile Probation Officer.

Jose Alamillo believes that boys deserve to have great male role models to guide them in making the best decision of their lives… To serve their Master Ranger, Jesus Christ!

Joey Cano

Joey started his Royal Ranger journey at age 6 as a Straight Arrow. He won the District Ranger of the Year award in 1996, as well as many local awards and trophies together with Outpost 53, where he currently serves as the Assistant Outpost Coordinator. As soon as he completed the program, he helped as a Commander within his outpost and as a teacher in the kids ministry. Joey has been a Sunday School teacher, youth leader, and is currently an Associate Pastor at his local church. He has always kept his passion to reach boys for Christ through the Royal Rangers ministry.

Professionally, he is a Certified Professional Coder and works for a local hospital. Joey and his wife Erika live in El Paso, TX with their two children, Ezra (who he nicknamed “future national commander”) and Leah “Lion”.

David started with Royal Rangers at the age of 5 and by the age of 14, was teaching the Ranger Kids group the basics like the Motto and Ranger Code. His first District Camp was at the age of 7 with the Guadalupe District in Chihuahua, Mexico. It had snow, rain, a dust storm, and even hail but was a camp he will never forget. David is the Outpost Commander for Outpost 198 and has been in that position since 2018. He has served as a youth leader, Sunday School teacher, and is currently on the worship team at his local church. David’s purpose as a Royal Ranger Commander has been to influence his boys’ spiritually, to give them self-confidence as men, and teach them they can do big and great things if they trust in God and in themselves.

Quick Facts about David (from David himself):
-       I like big challenges because it pushes me to my limits and makes me grow as person and leader. 
-       I like to treat my leadership teams like family. 

David has been married since 2013 to his wife Tania, who is also a Group Leader in Outpost 198. They have a 5-year-old son, Matthias David, who is his driving force every day. 

David has a degree in Media Production/Technology and Advertising and currently works in sales for an auto parts retailer.
